Science Saturdays at the Mills Observatory

In collaboration with Outer Space | Inner Space and Leisure and Culture Dundee, the Science Communication Society organized a picnic and walk to Mills Observatory for the Science Saturday talk "The Biology of our Universe" given by David Booth, a lecturer at the university, and hosted by the society. Astronomy activities and activities for young children were carried out in between talks.
World Space Week 2018

In celebration of World Space Week 2018, the society organized a lecture given by Aurora Sicilia-Aguilar, a lecturer at the university. In her talk, Aurora explained what we can learn from combining space- and ground-based observations to beat the limits of spatial resolution, and how we can investigate the building blocks of stars and planets to understand our Solar System.
University of Dundee Freshers Fair 2018

Each year, the Dundee University Students Association (DUSA) organizes a fair for new students to discover all of the societies and institutions involved with the university. This event couldn't be missed by the Science Communication society, and we were there not only bringing awareness to science communication, but also encouraging students to get involved.
